It's that time again.  It's time for The Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by Mastercard. The man, the myth, and the legend.  The legacy Mr. Palmer left us is unmistakable and places him among not only the greatest golfers of all time, but among the greatest sportsmen of all time as well.  The way in which he carried himself and how he treated the fans is legendary and a great example of what we ALL should aspire to.  Thank You Mr. Palmer! Thank You for everything you gave to us as fans.  Your contributions inside and outside the ropes is astounding and is a credit to the man you were. We miss you and we love you!

Another exciting week on tap on the PGA Tour as the boys do battle in Palm Beach Gardens and they face the diabolical "Bear Trap" in the 2024 Cognizant Classic. 

The 70 - The 2023 Fedex Cup Playoffs are here!

It's Fedex Cup Playoff season on the PGA Tour and this year, it's the top 70 in the Fedex Cup Points that will battle for an eventual $25 million dollar payout at the Tour Championship.  This week, the playoffs will begin in Memphis, Tn. with the Fedex St. Jude Championship.

The PGA Tour, LIV, PIF, and the state of the game!

 Well, I'm back everyone and glad to be.  It's been quite a year or so in the professional game hasn't it? To say that seems very understated, so let's go.  The PGA Tour, riding a wave of popularity, and growth, was shocked by the creation of a competitive tour known as LIV Golf. Created by Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson (essentially in theory), it took the golf world by storm with a team and individual concept, 54 hole events, with a shotgun start, limited fields, and loud music. "Golf But Louder" their catchphrase, this upstart has turned the game upside down. Add in the unprecedented signing bonuses offered to its most high profile players, and the entire landscape of the professional game has been altered forever. 

But fast forward to the last few weeks and there was more shock and awe in store for everyone with the shocking announcement that the PIF (Private Investment Fund) had signed a "Framework Agreement" with the PGA Tour to end all litigation between the parties and to negotiate a partnership under the name of NewCo.  Yes, VERY original.  In any case, in golf's version of As The World Turns, we'll have to tune in next week to see what happens between Bo and Hope! It's the week before The Open Championship so many of the best in the game are taking the opportunity to get in some pre-tournament prep at The Renaissance Club.  Jordan, Jon, Justin and and a host of others are teeing it up this week and should provide us with some great entertainment leading into next week's 150th playing of The Open Championship at St. Andrews.

                                    

2021 Hero World Challenge

 He's Back!

Tiger Woods has returned!  Once again, one of the greatest of all time is returning from what many thought was a career-ending injury after a serious car accident some 9 months ago.  He's hosting The Hero World Challenge this week, and has been seen hitting balls on the range while there, fueling speculation that he'll be back much sooner than expected.  I've watched Tiger since his days as a junior golfer and one thing I've learned is to never doubt him! I fully expect him to return to competitive golf and it would not surprise me at all to see him win again.
